Duterte Fan Group Claims Aetas Should Think of Typhoon Lawin as Blessing
CAGAYAN, Philippines - Members of the President Rodrigo Duterte fan group DutertAddicts claim that Aetas should be thankful of Typhoon Lawin and should regard it as a blessing.
According to them, the typhoon is a blessing because "they will have new houses built for them, they are part of China's billions appropriated for all Filipinos."
The group flocked the CNN Philippines Facebook news post that talks about the plight of the Aetas in Cagayan after getting ravaged by supertyphoon Lawin.
The supertyphoon strengthened to Signal No. 5 and directly hit the province of Cagayan and damaged 10.2 billion pesos in agriculture. The typhoon forced the Aetas to go down from the Sierra Madre mountains after it destroyed their homes and crops.
The President Duterte fan group claimed that CNN is starting to "become bullcrap like Rappler."
"I said last June that I would unfollow Rappler for the nonsense and biased news they post. The news they publish DOES NOT HELP ANYONE except their selfish cause for money and power. 4 months later, Rappler is down the drain. You're next, CNN," said one of the members of the fan group.
The impassioned DutertAddicts even commented that CNN is "true evil" because its posts "make the government look bad" and are "politically motivated."
Meanwhile, more than a thousand Filipinos are sent to chemotherapy centers after reading the said comments.
