In response to a large number of the Filipino youth currently hooked to the HBO series Game of Thrones, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines condemned the show as "Devil's Work".

An official of the CBCP said Monday, April 14, that the show is going against the Catholic Church's teachings and should therefore be boycotted at all costs.

This was after the latest episode of the series, titled "The Lion and The Rose" popularly dubbed as the Purple Wedding, where another surprising death happened.

"I've seen the show," said Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma. "All three seasons of it, and the latest two episodes. It's the work of the devil."

The CBCP is currently calling for the ban of the show in cable television, and the whole internet.

"I've seen that Melisandre character give birth to a shadow," Palma added, referencing the Red Priestess of Stannis Baratheon who used dark magic to slay a rival king. "You know where that leads? Abortion."

"And that imp, Tyrion Lannister. He is a dwarf because he is sinful. His scenes are so full of the wickedness of the devil that I had to watch them over and over again."

Palma however elaborated that dragons do exist, as they are mentioned in the bible.

This news article is a satire.
