Why are Filipinos lazy readers?

Filipinos are lazy readers.

That is the conclusion of a recent study conducted by the Department of English and Comparative Literature undergraduate students of University of the Philippines Diliman entitled "Reading Habits of Filipinos in Contemporary Setting".

Just kidding.

You must be wondering where the heck is the rest of the article. But hear me out first.

I see a lot of news article from GMA, ABS-CBN, Rappler, TV5 and other news organizations getting social media comments from Filipinos who comment immediately after reading the headlines instead of reading the article first.
