Duterte Congratulates, Looks Forward to Trashtalking with New US President Donald Trump

PASIG CITY, Philippines - President Rodrigo Duterte congratulated newly-elected United States President Donald Trump Wednesday and said he's looking forward for a "verbal sparring" with him.

Imagined speaking in front of the members of the media, the Filipino strongman expressed his eagerness to trashtalk against Trump, another known trashtalker.

"Yung isa kasi may narinig lang ng 'putang*ina' hindi na nakipagmeet sa akin. Duwag amp! (The other one just heard me say 'son of a bitch' and immediately canceled our meeting. Coward!" said Duterte, referring to the incumbent President Barack Obama.

Last September, Duterte remarked the Filipino curse words after Obama criticized his war on drugs that has killed more than 3,000 people.

Fliptop Battle Imminent

When asked by The FIlipino Garlic if the Philippine President is open for a FlipTop battle (a type of rap battle in the Philippines characterized by ad hominem remarks and your mama jokes), Duterte said "Gladly."

"Putang*na hindi nga nakapalag si Obama sa akin. Sana naman hindi duwag itong si Trump. (Son of a bitch, Obama wasn't even willing to fight me. Hopefully Trump wouldn't be such a coward)," added the President.

Known for his blunt words and machismo, the Philippine President has earned the international spotlight after trashtalking several prominent world leaders, including the Pope and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

"Sayang lang hindi nanalo si Hillary. Baka mag short skirt din siya pag meeting namin. (It's unfortunate that Hillary did not win. She would have worn a short skirt in our meeting)," he added.
