JUST IN: Aguirre Links De Lima, Aquino, Trillanes to BPI Bank Glitch
MANILA, Philippines — After tagging the three senators to the Marawi siege, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre linked Senators Leila de Lima, Bam Aquino, and Antonio Trillanes to the Bank of the Philippine Islands glitch yesterday, June 7.
Aguirre previously linked the senators to the unfortunate Marawi siege saying that it could be a destabilization plot against the Duterte administration.
Aguirre said “it’s probable, it’s possible” that the meeting could have “sparked the glitch that left hundreds of Filipinos with unauthorized bank withdrawals and negative balances."
“Hindi ko malaman why after they went there, nagkagulo na kinaumagahan kahapon. They met with the people [at the bank], they met with several bank tellers there,” Aguirre said.
Aguirre said that the investigation could check if de Lima, Aquino, and Trillanes indeed "agitated" the tellers and IT specialists during their time in the bank.
Meanwhile, the Bank of the Philippine Islands has yet to release a statement on Aguirre's comments.
With a text message, Senator Trillanes said that the secretary is "too stupid, it hurts". "Nagwithdraw lang ako ng cash, ako na agad may kasalanan?" said the senator.
Senator Aquino released a press statement that says Aguirre is "Too stupid to differentiate real news from fake news, like many of his supporters."
Meanwhile, Senator de Lima sent us a handwritten note that says "Luh? Lahat na lang?" —The Filipino Garlic.
