Did Pope Francis Just Tweet About AlDub?

It seems that even the Pope himself is curious about the AlDub phenomenon.

Fans of noontime show Eat Bulaga's Kalyeserye set a record 25.6 million tweets for the hashtag #AlDubEBForLove.

Dubbed as the AlDub phenomenon, Eat Bulaga star Alden Richards and rising dubsmasher Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza has become the most tweeted couple in the world after their Saturday September 26 program.

The #AlDubEBForLove hashtag follows the couple's second date as Alden visits the famed mansion of Yaya Dub's Lola Nidora.

Alden serenaded his beloved "Meng" with a crying "God Gave Me You", a religious and romantic theme song for the couple.

The promotion of Catholic values is one of the key reasons why the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines endorsed the said program.

But it seems like the CBCP is not alone.

Pope Francis' aforementioned tweet for AlDub

The Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church Pope Francis using his twitter handle @Pontifex tweeted the hashtag #AlDubEBForLove along with #GodBlessPH the night after (US time) and commended the efforts of the CBCP for promoting Catholic values in (sic) TV.

Pope Francis is currently in New York for an official papal visit.

Known for his active social media presence, Pope Francis often tweets about current events, religious insights and his current whereabouts. It seems like the AlDub fever has reached the Pope too.
